Book: Startship Troopers

Now this is one Heinlein book I enjoyed. Rollicking good fun and much, much better than the movie.

Book: The Puppet Masters

I don’t remember this one too well. Like a lot of Heinlein books I’ve read, the protagonist seems to be the same smarmy, self-assured guy that Heinlein likes to write about.

Book: Secret of the Sixth Magic

This standard issue fantasy novel features some incredibly lame cover art, including an evil wizard who appears to be skipping stones off our heroes who are trapped in an asteroid.

Book: Vacuum Flowers

No memory of this. None. Sci-fi, apparently.

Book: Nature's God

Book: The Widow's Son

Book: Mulengro

Something about Gypsies in Canada and a murderer, and… Hm.

Book: The Mists of Avalon

A superb retelling of the Arthurian legend from the point of view of the women in the story. If you only saw the television series, you missed out. Recommended by my wife Beth.

Book: Lythande

A nice little fantasy story based on a character from the Thieves’ World series.

Book: Refactoring: Improving the Design of Existing Code

The definitive work on refactoring as a part of software development.
