An introduction to the software engineering methodology known as Extreme Programming or XP. This is a good introduction to this interesting approach to software development. This book really sold me on the value of automated testing. And the development strategy “focus first on today’s problem” resonated as well. I found “pair programming” to be a bit odd, though. I suspect that technique only works well with some kinds of personalities.
